Band Bio:  
Herb N' Life originated in an apartment in Mesa, Arizona, officially founded on October 1st by Joe Pealstrom (Bass) and Sam Edwards (Guitar, Vocals). Influenced by reggae, ska, punk, and hip hop, the duo brought a dynamic sound by swapping instruments and lead vocals. 

The band expanded with Jeff Tryon (Drums) and started performing locally, opening for major touring acts at iconic venues such as The Big Fish Pub, The Bash on Ash, and Bostons. They ventured into professional recording at local studios including Jimmy Z Studios, Phase 54, and Likewise Studios, marking a welcomed upgrade from their grassroots recording beginnings on karaoke machines or the Tascam Portastudio 02. 

A lineup shift occurred in late 2019 which injected renewed energy into their performances, reflecting diverse musical influences and deep connections within the local music scene. The new members include: 

  • Adrian Valenzuela (Lead Guitar, Skacas/Proper Trash) - Originally from Maryvale, Arizona, Adrian brings his unique guitar style influenced by ska and punk music. 
  • Arian Valenzuela (Drums, Skacas/Proper Trash/Kush County) - Also from Maryvale, Arizona, Arian adds powerful drumming rooted in diverse genres. 
  • Francisco Carballo (Bass, Fayuca/Las Calakas/Proper Trash) - Another Maryvale, Arizona native, Francisco's basslines contribute to the band's distinct fusion sound. 

During the COVID season, Herb N' Life dropped their first single titled "Stay Away," accompanied by their debut music video shot by Jose Ruiz of Multiple Arms Productions. They later recorded their first full-length album titled "The Blue Album" with producer Ralph Patlan in Tempe, Arizona. They've also worked with Lewis Richards of 17th Street Recordings and are currently in the studio working on their sophomore album with Producer Matt Keller, showcasing their commitment to evolving their sound and pushing creative boundaries. 

Today, Herb N' Life remains a vibrant fixture in Arizona's music scene, blending infectious rhythms with soul-stirring melodies. From their desert roots to stages across the country, Herb N' Life continues to deliver authentic and captivating music that resonates with audiences.
